A Slave Child
Tribute to Jacob Linky
Jacob Linky is originally from Ghana, Africa. He was a slave child and worked to helping his family like releasing the fishing net. Jacob shared his experience from Ghana, Africa and started to have lot of flashbacks about the trading or slavery. He didn’t know why his father was beating on him and his hearing loss was getting the worse by 10 years old. He had a good relationship with his mom and still had a mixed feeling about his dad.
Jacob didn’t understand why White American people came to Ghana to see his cousin and him. It made him uncomfortable due lack of the communication and moved to America. Jacob’s world was going downside. American family decided to adopt Jacob and live in Warsaw, Indiana and his cousin Christin lives in Virigina. Jacob interested to wrestling and improved his self confidence. He was in a quality to entering the tournament.
Note: Most of the children are under the child labor in Ghana, Africa.

Mumu,aka Annie Jane (Deaf Slave :1836-1866)
Annie Jane was reduced from “British Cruiser” with the slave group after captured between some areas: Upper Guinea and Windward Coast. Annie was witnessed to his father who captured and killed in the front of Annie. She was traumatized.
Annie Jane was 12 years old and the slave girl group were under the charge of Church Missionary. The institution named “Bath Deaf and Dumb” and received the free expenses. Annie Jane enrolled to Bath Deaf and Dumb institution and changed her personality with her happiness result. She became Christian and stayed here for five years. She decided to continue in the service of Church Missionary College in Islington. She came back to Bath until her death due her short illness.
Note: Royal Navy helped African Squadron to end the slavery in Africa in 1810’s.

In the year of 1840, United States had been organizing the sixth census from the nation populations.
The slave people arrived to America and they became fear/hopeless and were in the pain because they don’t know what they are doing in America. The white slave owners were selling the slave people during the bidding locations in America. Most of the slave people lost their families and friends during the bidding locations or travel around from the ships. The slave owners were aggressive to dividing the slave groups to checking in with the documents if the slave people are Deaf/Dumb, Blind, Insane and Insane/Idiot.
